President John Dramani Mahama, in accordance with Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20 (1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), has nominated 71 individuals for appointment as District Chief Executives (DCEs).
The nominations, announced in a letter dated March 26, 2025, and signed by Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, are subject to approval by their respective Assemblies.
