
President Mahama has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to economic transformation as he officially launched the 2025 National Economic Dialogue on March 3.
Speaking at the opening session, Mahama stressed that the dialogue was not just a symbolic event or a campaign promise, but rather a crucial step toward resetting Ghana’s economy and restoring public confidence.
“This gathering is more than just a symbolic exercise or the fulfillment of a campaign promise. It is a decisive step in our collective responsibility to reset Ghana’s economy, restore confidence, and build the prosperous future we all envision.”
Theme: Resetting Ghana – Building the Economy We Want Together
The event, themed “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together,” seeks to promote inclusive and solution-driven discussions aimed at shaping the country’s economic future.
President Mahama emphasized that Ghana stands at a pivotal moment, where the decisions taken today will shape the economy for generations to come.
“Our nation stands at a pivotal moment, and the choices we make now will determine the trajectory of our economy for generations to come.”

He called on all stakeholders, policymakers, industry leaders, and citizens to contribute innovative ideas and demonstrate a shared commitment to building a resilient and inclusive economy.
The 2025 National Economic Dialogue is expected to provide a platform for critical discussions, focusing on economic reforms, job creation, private sector growth, and financial sustainability to drive long-term national development.
