
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Club Licensing Department has concluded its venue inspections ahead of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) resumption on March 7, 2025.
As part of new safety protocols, the department conducted thorough assessments to determine which venues met the necessary security and facility standards. Some stadiums were fully approved, others conditionally approved, while a few were deemed unfit to host matches for GPL.
Fully Approved Venues ✅
The following stadiums have met all the requirements and are approved to host matches:
- Tarkwa TNA Park
- Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex
- Dun’s Park, Bibiani
- Nsekyire Sports Stadium
- Kpando Sports Stadium
Venues with Conditional Approval ⚠️
The following stadiums have been granted conditional approval, meaning certain facilities or safety concerns must be addressed before they can host official matches:
- Nii Adjei Kraku II Park – Tema
- Tuba Astro Turf – Kasoa
- Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium – Tamale
- Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park – Bechem
- Nana Agyeman Badu Park – Dormaa

Stadiums with Safety & Security Concerns 🚫
The following venues are not yet ready to host matches due to safety and security issues:
- University of Ghana Stadium
- Baba Yara Stadium
The affected clubs have been directed to fix their safety zones before their next official match or risk venue restrictions.
With the league’s resumption fast approaching, club officials must act swiftly to ensure their home grounds meet the required standards.
