Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has pledged a $5,000 gift to a Ghanaian TikToker, Ananzo Official, after a video of him joyfully singing Davido’s song went viral.
Ananzo Official, born Eugene Ananzo Junior, works at a washing bay in Takoradi in Ghana’s Western Region. He gained widespread attention on social media with energetic and spirited videos of himself singing songs by Black Sherif and Davido while going about his work.
The young TikToker recently posted a video on X (formerly Twitter), where he sang Davido’s new track With You featuring Omah Lay. Tagging both artists, he captioned the post:
“Happiness is free @davidox, @omarlay, @OfficialBigkay, @jerirussells, @nanasuccess66, @appiah_renee.”
Davido noticed the video and reposted it to his own Instagram and TikTok accounts. On TikTok, Ananzo’s video quickly became the most-used version under the trending With You sound.
In a heartwarming comment under the Instagram post, Davido wrote:
“5K US for you OLS contact @deekay_dmw.”
The gesture has drawn praise from fans across platforms, with many commending the Grammy nominee for his generosity and appreciation of Ananzo’s joyful spirit.
